I’m Lucky;

Looking at this photograph, I’m very proud to say I’ve climbed that mountain & I’ve sat there, looking down onto the Peninsula called Mount Maunganui. I used to come to this coastal area, located 3 hrs from the city, every summer when I was younger. Days spent swimming, eating hand-made waffles cones & sitting on our hotel balcony, watching all the guys driving past in their hot shot cars with their tints, lowering systems & other illegal modifications. Many friendships were made every summer only to never keep in touch once the summer was over.

I’m feeling pretty lucky right now to call such a beautiful country like New Zealand, my home.

  1. Wow, that looks amazing. I’m jealous of you, but you already knew that.

    It’s sad how some friendships (and crushes) we make over the summer are forgotten as soon as the summer is over. I guess that’s why it’s called “summer love” and why there’s always so many fond memories of summer. It’s a magical time of year.

    • It’s all about finding the beauty in where you are šŸ™‚ I never appreciate NZ’s beauty until I left though. I mean sure, I had amazing times & unforgettable summers but just how awesome they were didn’t occur to me until I left!
