Since moving to the ‘burbs in April, I’m alot closer to the coast/ I have better access to the south of Fremantle, Perth. On Saturday evening, after a day of studying (and a lot of breaks), I went down to Port Coogee, 10 minutes south of Fremantle and took a look around at some of the progress that has occurred over the past few months.
There’s still a lot of residential construction to be completed & the commercial side of things hasn’t begun (there’s plans of a grocery store, cafe, restaurant and bar, plus apartments and other things) but it’s looking pretty damn good already.
These are some of the billboards showing what could be here in the future:
In the picture below, you can see I spotted a house in the distance & walked from the photo on the left to get a snap of the house in the photo on the right. What can I say? I’m obsessed with houses.
And this is what you see to the north of Port Coogee, the old abandoned power station. I visited it last April with my bestie and got some snaps inside. It’s been abandoned for ages and it’s sitting on a massive great site. Who knows what will happen in the future but you can read more about it here & here.
