After the most incredible two weeks of my life in Hawaii, I flew back to Melbourne and spent the night at C’s place before unpacking my new place and heading straight back to work (not the brightest idea let me tell you!)
Back in July, I booked flights to Hawaii on the whim. It’s been a place on my bucket list FOREVER but it wasn’t until a certain bearded man moved to Canada that Hawaii looked like an attractive half way point for us. We both wanted to go hiking & explore so chose O’ahu & Maui for our two week adventure.
Another day, another pop up! This time it was a pop up floating bar by the guys at Arbory. Other than Ponyfish Island, it would be good to have more permanent bars on the water because it’s so lovely being near the river on a warm afternoon.
When Chet Faker announced a second tour for 2015 and the Sydney show was going to be outside the Opera house, overlooking the harbour bridge, I booked my flights straight away. What a venue!
Living in Melbourne sure has its perks. It was the Australian Football grand final at the beginning of the month & because so many people fly to Melbourne to watch it/ be part of the atmosphere, the State government decided to make the Friday before a public holiday. Thanks guys!
September was another good month. It was a month with no study for the first time in four months & I spent the month exploring Melbourne & seeing friends.
This week marks 10 months since I moved to Melbourne so I figured it’s about time I put together a list of all the places where I like to eat & drink.
Doughboys Doughnuts (CBD)
INNER NORTH: Naked for Satan, Fitzroy
All the places listed above, are places I’ve personally tried over the last 10 months (as well as places I visited on previous holidays). For even MORE places to check out in Melbourne, I highly recommend checking out the following Instagram pages/websites:
Happy eating & exploring!
